Stay away from glass top stoves when possible



Electric stoves can be a challenge for rental properties. Sizes and form of installation can be a limiting factor and then you have to keep in mind how tenants may treat the stove. As property managers we advise to stay away from glass top stoves when possible because despite the glass being tempered tenants always find a way crack the top of the stove. Replacing the tops can be as much as $400 which is only 1/3rd less than replacing the entire stove. If you are going to have an electric stove try to get a coil top!
